"I went to Beijing, where I believe is the best place to learn Chinese medicine. Because in the long, long time ago, only the Emperor, only the imperial family could afford to learn or afford to have the best doctors around them. So there's a lot of really great masters. They taught me about fire needling, abdominal needling, the head sculpt needling, they have a lot of experiences that they are so selflessly sharing with me. So I really want to learn some knowledge that I can use in life for the ones that I love."

Master Ruth Lee is the founder of Master Ruth Clinic, author of Tui Na massage book "Soft Touch of Tiger Moms." Specializes in herbal and acupuncture treatment for menopausal syndrome, infertility, weight control, sleeping disorder, skin conditions such as eczema, atopic dermatitis, acne, herpes zoster, neck and back pain and facial paralysis.

In 2009, the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, an official NGO member of the World Health Organisation, released a well-recognized system of body constitutions, setting up a standard and characterisations of nine different body constitutions. This standard has been widely used in studies of epidemiology, immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and other medical research.

Why Should I Learn This

Knowing the Properties of Food

In Chinese Medicine, emphasis is placed on the unique nature and properties of food, it is believed that all foods contain their own unique properties. Usually, they will include cooling, hot, cold, neutral.

Diet and Exercise

Similar to food, our bodies have their own unique body constitution, which can be inherited but also influenced by lifestyle factors such as the climate you live in, types of exercise, and diet.
